Grand Prismatic was first along the way and there is two places to view it. Either you park in the parking lot or along the road and take the boardwalk to walk right up to it, or you walk a little farther to the Fairy Falls Trail parking lot and view it from above. Both areas were really full so we decided to move on to Old Faithful.
We start the ascent up Beartooth. Red Lodge’s elevation is 5,568 feet so we begin our one mile vertical climb to 10,987 feet at the top of the pass.
I remember going to Yellowstone back when I was a teenager. I hadn’t been there in over 25 years but I loved the beauty of the mountains and the bit of mystery that surrounds the hot springs and geysers of Yellowstone. I had always known it was a place I wanted to take my kids some day

What has become now a bit of a tradition, Ella and I got up first on this first morning. With that said, it wasn’t as early as our previous two cruises, I think we were up by 8 whereas other cruises it might have been 6:30 or 7. Also different from our other cruises is…
I LOVE SAIL AWAYS! At this point we are unpacked, have done everything we NEED to do, we’ve usually had our first drink by this time. Now it’s time to relax, dance a little, and watch the land disappear.
From flying through freezing rain to a lady working the front desk all by herself, follow the adventure.
Island Air closed their doors quite literally overnight. Didn’t warn any of their customers ahead of time and not much was ever mentioned in the news about it.
About an hour later we wanted to go through the rocks. Bad idea. By that time everyone was trying to do the same thing and on top of that, people were trying to come through from the opposite direction.
he gang is back in St. Thomas. This was the first island we stopped at when we were on the Disney Fantasy and you never forget your first. Right?
