Carnival Magic – Day 6 – At Sea, Green Eggs & Ham, sweating on deck, and winning a Hairy Chest Competition
I LOVE SAIL AWAYS! At this point we are unpacked, have done everything we NEED to do, we’ve usually had our first drink by this time. Now it’s time to relax, dance a little, and watch the land disappear.

Island Air closed their doors quite literally overnight. Didn’t warn any of their customers ahead of time and not much was ever mentioned in the news about it.
About an hour later we wanted to go through the rocks. Bad idea. By that time everyone was trying to do the same thing and on top of that, people were trying to come through from the opposite direction.

The whole thing from first standing in line until we finally got our cards was about an hour and a half to maybe two hours

One thing some people may not realize when booking a cruise out of Miami is you don’t have to fly directly into Miami airport (MIA). Fort Lauderdale (FLL) is about a 35-45 minute drive to Miami.
